In which cases should porcelain crowns not be used?
Porcelain crowns can really invade the natural tooth structure, and when actual tooth material is lost, it’s never going to come back. So, when prepping teeth to create pillars, attention must be paid to the right ratio and not grinding too deep. Clients should be wary of cheap options for porcelain crowns to avoid risks during the grinding process. It’s best to have dental work done at a reputable practice with a qualified dentist who has plenty of experience to ensure the correct approach based on the condition of the teeth and achieve perfect, long-lasting results.
Because not every case should get porcelain crowns. For example, in situations like buck teeth or underbites, porcelain crowns can’t be used—braces are necessary instead.
